Spanish AI Grants You Can Apply for in Q4 2026: Amounts, Deadlines, and a 30-Minute Eligibility Check
By the end of this post you will know which of six public funding lines you can file for this quarter, which are closed until their next call, and what to have ready the day they reopen. You need a digital certificate and thirty minutes. Everything below is as published on 9 September 2026; every amount links to the page it came from.
What you need
- Your average headcount over the last twelve months, your turnover, your fiscal domicile, and the date you registered as autónomo or incorporated the company.
- A digital certificate (FNMT) or Cl@ve for the electronic filings.
- Your last filed annual accounts if you will look at loans (ENISA, CDTI).
- Optional: an AI assistant to sort your case against the table. The prompt is in Step 3.
Step 1: The six lines, as they stand today

The honest headline: this quarter you can file for CDTI and ENISA today. Kit Digital has a legal path to reopen with leftover funds but no date. The two IVACE lines return in the new year. That is not bad news; it is a calendar you can plan around.
Step 2: The 30-minute eligibility check
- Headcount (3 min). Average staff over the last twelve months. Fewer than 3 puts you in Kit Digital Segment III (EUR 3,000); 3 to 9, Segment II (6,000); 10 to 49, Segment I (12,000) and Kit Consulting A; 50 to 99, Segment IV (25,000); 100 to 249, Segment V (29,000).
- SME status (2 min). Under 250 staff and up to EUR 50 million turnover. Every line above except CDTI requires it.
- Where you pay tax (2 min). Fiscal domicile in the Comunitat Valenciana opens both IVACE lines. Anywhere in Spain opens the other four.
- Legal form and age (5 min). Autónomos qualify for Kit Digital but not for ENISA, which lends to companies. ENISA and CDTI want filed annual accounts, so a company incorporated this year should aim at Kit Digital or IVACE first.
- Project size (5 min). Under EUR 12,000: Kit Digital. Between 20,000 and 175,000 of digital investment: IVACE DIGITALIZA-CV. From 175,000 with real R&D: CDTI. Working capital for growth: ENISA.
- De minimis room (5 min). Add up the public aid you received in the last three fiscal years. The IVACE lines count against a EUR 300,000 cap per company over three years.
- Own funds (3 min). For ENISA, equity on your last balance sheet must be at least the loan you ask for.
- Paperwork (5 min). Digital certificate valid, up to date with AEAT and Seguridad Social, accounts filed at the Registro Mercantil. Any red flag here is what you fix first.
Step 3: What to do this quarter
- Kit Digital fits you: register on Acelera Pyme and complete the self-diagnosis test now, choose your agente digitalizador and agree the scope in writing. Past calls were first come, first served, and the 2026 Order says leftover funds go to applications in the order they arrive.
- IVACE fits you: write the technical memory in October and November, collect three quotes for any external service (INNOVA-CV requires them at filing), and have the budget ready before the January window opens.
- CDTI or ENISA fit you: file now. Both evaluate continuously.
- Not sure: paste this into any assistant with the table above: “My company has [N] employees, EUR [X] turnover, fiscal domicile in [province], legal form [autónomo/SL], incorporated in [year], and we want to invest EUR [Y] in [describe the AI project]. Using the table, tell me which lines I qualify for today and which documents each one needs.” Check the answer against the sources in the table before you act.
Where local AI fits, and the limits of this post
A local deployment is a good fit for the grant rules: DIGITALIZA-CV lists AI-based solutions, hardware and external technical services as eligible costs, so a Mac mini, a Jetson and the setup work can sit in one budget. Our break-even calculator gives you the running-cost side of that memory.
Limits, stated plainly. The amounts are maxima, not entitlements. IVACE pays after you justify the spend, so you advance the money; Kit Digital pays your provider directly.
