VORLUX AI Launch Day: We're Open for Business
VORLUX AI Launch Day: We’re Open for Business
My name is Jacobo Gonzalez Jaspe, and today I’m launching VORLUX AI. This is the founding story — no corporate speak, no marketing fluff. Just the honest account of why I built this company, what it does, and what I’m asking you to trust me with.
The Problem I Kept Seeing
For the past several years, I’ve worked in the intersection of technology, learning systems, and business process automation. I’ve seen small businesses try to adopt AI and hit the same walls over and over:
The cloud bill grows faster than the value. A company starts with a EUR 50/month OpenAI bill. Six months later, it’s EUR 800. A year later, they’re locked into a pipeline they can’t afford to rebuild and can’t afford to keep running. The edge AI market is growing at 21.7% CAGR precisely because businesses are looking for alternatives.
The data goes somewhere they can’t control. Every API call sends customer data to a server in another country. For a hair salon, maybe that’s fine. For a law firm, a clinic, or a manufacturer with trade secrets? That’s a liability they didn’t sign up for. With GDPR fines exceeding EUR 5.88 billion and the EU AI Act imposing penalties up to 7% of global turnover, the regulatory pressure is only increasing.
The complexity is designed for enterprises, not SMEs. AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, Google Vertex — these are built for companies with DevOps teams. A 12-person accounting firm doesn’t need Kubernetes. They need a box on a shelf that answers questions about tax law.
I kept thinking: someone should solve this for small businesses. Then I realized I had all the pieces to do it myself.
Why Valencia, Why Now
I’m based in Valencia, Spain. It’s not Silicon Valley, and that’s the point. The businesses I’m building for are here — restaurants, clinics, law firms, manufacturers, training companies. They don’t need Silicon Valley solutions. They need something that works in their office, in their language, on their budget.
The timing isn’t accidental either. Three things are converging right now:
-
The EU AI Act has a compliance deadline in August 2026. Businesses using AI in regulated categories must prove where their data goes and how their models work. Local deployment answers both questions instantly.
-
Small language models finally work. Two years ago, running a useful model locally required a EUR 10,000 GPU setup. Today, a EUR 700 Mac Mini runs models that rival what GPT-3.5 could do — and for many business tasks, that’s more than enough.
-
Spanish government funding through Kit Digital and IVACE can cover 30-60% of deployment costs. The government is literally paying businesses to adopt AI. The window won’t stay open forever.
What VORLUX AI Actually Does
We deploy AI that runs on your hardware. No cloud. No subscriptions. No data leaving your building.

The services break down into three tiers:
- LMS Consulting — Deployment and integration on enterprise LMS platforms. Active now.
- Edge AI for SMEs — Full local AI deployment + monthly retainer. Launching May.
- Sovereign Nodes — Air-gapped systems for public administration. Month 6+.
Custom pricing per case. No per-token charges. You own the hardware, you own the models, and the monthly retainer covers maintenance.
The 1-Person + AI Agents Model
Here’s what makes VORLUX unusual: I’m the only human. The rest of the workforce is AI agents.
This isn’t a gimmick. It’s a structural advantage. Traditional consultancies charge EUR 150-300/hour because they have offices, account managers, project managers, and all the overhead that comes with headcount. I have a Mac on a desk, 14 models running locally, and 36 autonomous loops that handle operations 24/7.
What this means for you:
- Better price/value — No overhead means I can deliver full deployments for a fraction of what a traditional firm charges.
- Direct access — When you call, you get the person who built the system. Not a junior associate reading from a script.
- Speed — No approval committees. No weekly status meetings. If something needs fixing, it gets fixed.
- Accountability — There’s exactly one person responsible for everything. No finger-pointing between departments.
The plan is to grow to 3-5 people by year 2 — but only when revenue justifies it, and only with people who actually build things.
What “Forward Light” Means
VORLUX comes from Vor (forward) and Lux (light). It’s the idea that AI should illuminate — make things clearer, faster, more accessible — not obscure them behind APIs, dashboards, and pricing tiers that only large companies can navigate.
The light stays with you. It runs on your hardware. It reads your data and forgets nothing — but it never sends that data anywhere else. That’s not a feature. It’s the foundation.
The Honest Risks
I promised no corporate speak, so here are the risks I think about:
I’m one person. If I get hit by a bus, your system keeps running (it’s on your hardware), but you’d need to find someone else to maintain it. That’s why documentation is built into every deployment.
Local AI has limits. A 9B-parameter model running on a Mac Mini won’t write you a novel. It will accurately answer questions about your product catalog, summarize contracts, classify support tickets, and generate reports. The Ollama model library now offers 200+ open models — knowing which ones fit your use case is half the job. Know the boundaries.
This is a new company. J4SGON S.L. was incorporated in April 2026. We don’t have 10 years of case studies. What we do have is a working technology stack, a live client, and a public track record of building in the open.
The Offer: Free Assessment for the First 20
I want to earn your trust by showing you — not telling you. During launch week, I’m offering a free 15-minute assessment to the first 20 businesses who reach out.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
- Your current AI situation (what you use, what you spend, what frustrates you)
- Whether local AI makes sense for your specific business
- What hardware you’d need and what it would cost
- Whether you qualify for government funding
- A realistic timeline
No sales pitch. No follow-up pressure. If local AI isn’t right for you, I’ll tell you that. I’d rather build a reputation for honesty than close a deal that doesn’t make sense.

Launch week has been four days of full transparency:
- Saturday: The Local AI Readiness Checklist — 10 questions to assess your fit
- Sunday: The VORLUX AI Stack — Every tool we use, nothing hidden
- Monday: Our Services and Pricing — What we offer and what it costs
- Tuesday (today): This post — the story, the vision, the offer
From here, we build. One client at a time, one deployment at a time, one proof point at a time. If you’ve read this far, you’re exactly the kind of person who cares about doing AI right — privately, locally, and on your terms.
Let’s talk.
